How to Organize the Kitchen, According to an Expert

hari drack

Earlier this year our homes went from being the places where we’d catch a few winks and spend nights bingeing ‘Queer Eye’ to our gym, office, school, restaurant, etc. Here, a collection of stories that celebrate our homes and the integration of wellness under one roof. See More

No one likes it when a houseguest, whether it’s an aunt or mother-in-law, comes into your kitchen and starts rearranging all the cabinets. You go and reach for a mug for your morning coffee only to find yourself staring at a stack of bowls. Or you open the junk drawer to grab some scissors and find that your silverware lives there now. Kitchen surprises should only come in the form of fluffy pancakes or matcha rice krispies treats.

That said, Carly Waters, an interior designer and expert organizer, believes there is absolutely a “right” way to set up and organize the kitchen

The Volkswagen ID.4’s Interior Is Happily Uncluttered

There’s probably no good reason the upcoming all-electric Volkswagen ID.4 (the one that will be sold here) doesn’t have a bench seat, and I wish center screens were a little more mobile, but otherwise, I like the minimalism of VW’s design. It is, very happily (to me) not too busy, in new images released today by Volkswagen.

It also fits somewhat with what the car will look like on the outside: it looks very electric, and it certainly looks modern, but it also isn’t going out of its way to impress.

As you can see, there will be two screens, one for the driver that will presumably display a speedometer and readings, and another for both driver and passenger that will presumably have navigation and most other infotainment bell and whistle modern cars have. (VW has not said what just yet.)

Remote students adjust to learning from home

hari drack

Each weekday morning, Rachel Cave feeds breakfast to her three children under 5 and opens her email to see what task her kindergartner will tackle that day.

Cave decided to keep her daughter, Danilynn, at home to do remote learning through Brown County Schools for the start of the school year. The district’s return-to-school plan allows families who do not yet feel comfortable sending their children to in-person school or students who are in a high-risk category to attend school full-time online.

The Cave family chose remote learning due to health issues in their family. Cave opted for remote learning through the district over homeschooling Danilynn on her own because she does want her to attend school in person when she deems it safe to do so.

This is Danilynn’s first time being part of a classroom, as a kindergarten student at Sprunica Elementary. She received a Chromebook from the

Several analysts weighed in on the stock following the impressive print.

Long-Term Tailwinds For Home Depot: BofA Securities analyst Elizabeth Suzuki said it’s not too late to buy Home Depot shares to capitalize on the shelter-in-place environment.

“Although home improvement spending in the coming quarter may decelerate amidst sequentially declining government stimulus/unemployment benefits, we believe that the longer-term tailwinds for the home improvement industry

These days, Augustin said, taking care of plants can give you a feeling of control over your physical environment, which has been shown to enhance cognitive performance. The act of caring for something and watching it grow is also beneficial: “If you’re caring for the plant, that gives you a feeling of accomplishment, which is desirable.”

Regan Azizi said plants are a form of meditation for her. Azizi, plantmomchicago on Instagram, said her plants help her take a breath. They keep her mind busy and help her focus on something other than what’s going on in the outside world. It’s also a project she can work on with her daughter. Since she got into plants about a year ago, she said they’ve now become an integral part of their day.
